If you want to know more about the Park, where to go, what to do, and what the current conditions are, this is a definite stop to make.   There are always friendly knowledgeable Park Rangers at duty, that will gladly answer all your questions.  At the visitor center you can also see a great movie about REAL Lava.  We highly recommend this! 

The visitor center is just a couple of hundred of yard straight ahead from the entrance of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the right side of the road.  There is plenty of parking. Kilauea Visitor Center is open daily 7:45 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.;
