To see these Sulphur Banks is quite
spectacular. One might think to be on another planet, but
please remember: Volcano Fumes are hazardous to your health!
Heed Warning Signs!
Visitors with heart or breathing problems and infants, young
children, and pregnant women are especially at risk and should avoid
Sulphur Banks, and other areas where volcanic fumes are present.
When we took these pictures some Volcanologists
where taking measurements of the sulphur content of the fumes beeing emitted into the
air. To do so they moved some of the rocks that where covering the vent which showed
some spectacular sulphur crystals deposited on them.
