When you think of Volcano and the East side of the island, think
about being "upwind" from the fire....
ABOUT 97% of all the time
we have trade winds, which means that there is absolutely no problem
in Volcano from any Volcano emissions....
.... with Trade Winds all of the emissions blow
away from any populated areas in Volcano..... this is true for
Volcano and the whole East side of the Big Island of Hawaii that is VOG free when we have Trade Winds..
So it is a great time to visit Volcano and
discover all our area and the East side of the Island has to offer.
Not only can you see the lava flowing into the ocean, but also right
in Volcano you have Halemaumau Crater glowing where the plume is
coming out.. an amazing site..
So we are very blessed that we are the closest to the center of the
emissions, but generally have the least effect from it.... Come visit Volcano !!! A spectacular and amazing place to
visit, and not to be missed!
