The sign is adorned with a detailed engraved pineapple, which is a symbol of hospitality of Hawaii.  Often you will find either a sign with a pineapple outside of the front door ( like this sign ) and at the dinner table a sweet pineapple for a delightful desert.  The sign is handmade in our artist studio in Volcano, Hawaii.  Solid Koa Wood.
