Michael Stewart
Michael Stewart has been capturing images of
Hawaii since relocating from California in 1991. Using self taught techniques Michael has captured over 50,000 images of the
Hawaiian islands both above and below the waterline. He has had hundreds of photos published throughout
Hawaii and internationally including in such notable publications as national geographic and travel and leisure magazines .
In addition, Michael has
introduced over 5,000 visitors to the underwater realm as a PADI scuba
instructor. His love for the sea is only matched by the overwhelming pull of Madame
Pele. Michael can be found living in the rainforests of Kilauea now specializing
in volcanoscapes and the underwater realm of the big island. " I hope to
convey my passion for the surreal landscape and magic moments of light to my
viewers. Hawaii has opened my eyes to the intrinsic qualities of nature and the
beauty of life around it "
